Setting and achieving a goal is an important part of growing up, being responsible, and learning to persevere. We want the new student to be part of an extended trail period, in order to know if they want to commit to the goal to become a Black Belt.
Youn Wha is a hybrid system consisting of 7 different martial arts: Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, Karate, Kung Fu, Judo, Ju Jutsu, and Tai Chi. The key benefits are focus, discipline, respect, fitness, confidence, and self control.
This age group is our largest and they gain the most benefit from martial arts at this age.
Once a child reaches 12 years old we allow them to attend adult classes. This allows them to have role models that are older, rather than being with the "little kids".
Martial Arts is one of the few activities that you can take where you can participate with them. Some of Master Jeff's best memories are of taking classes with his now grown kids. All of our classes except tigers are family classes.
These beginner classes for younger kids focuses on confidence, focus, and fun. We want to prepare them for the White Belt program when they are old enough.
Krav Maga is a street self defense system that is taught to the Israeli Self Defense Forces. Quick reactions, explosive techniques, and awareness are the hallmarks of this program.
Techniques cover hand-to-hand, knife, and gun defense techniques - both standing and on the ground.
Kids are taught about 90% of the same techniques as the adult classes.
